Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant had major praise for Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis during a Twitter debate, calling him a human cheat code.
Kevin Durant has time on his hands right now, recovering from a thigh contusion he suffered on Sunday. So he’s doing what he does best besides playing basketball: Tweeting.
This time, Durant used his platform to talk up Anthony Davis.
This whole conversation was the product of that age-old game of selecting an all-time roster. First Things First asked fans to pick between the selections from Nick Wright and Durant.
Durant’s team featured LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Hakeem Olajuwon and himself. Wright went with Steph Curry, Jordan, James, Tim Duncan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

The starting five didn’t spark the discussion. It was Durant’s inclusion of Anthony Davis on his bench. Someone responded they’d pick AD over other power forwards and centers because of his ability to space the floor.
Durant essentially agreed with the assessment.
Of course, that set off a whole chain of responses going to bat for Duncan.
Durant wasn’t all that interested in the idea of a Duncan vs. Davis debate, though.
If the NBA is lucky, there will be a chance to watch Durant and the Nets go up against Davis and the Lakers in the playoffs. First, the two teams will have to make it through their respective conferences, which won’t be easy.
Brooklyn is narrowly second in the Eastern Conference while dealing with nagging injuries to a host of stars, including Durant and James Harden.
Los Angeles has dealt with their own major health problems this season, falling to fifth in the Western Conference during the extended absence of Davis and James, who are in the process of returning soon.
