New York Knicks fans are hoping the team can land Andre Drummond ahead of the deadline

What’s this, some glimmer of hope for the long-suffering New York Knicks supporters? Drummond would no question be a great addition for the young roster and veteran head coach Tom Thibodeau. Checking in at 6-foot-10, 280 pounds, Drummond is an absolute force in the low post.

Despite Cleveland being in the middle of a rough campaign, Drummond has been superb. He’s averaging 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game thus far this season. His rebounding abilities are second to none and they’d of course be a welcomed addition to the iconic Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks aren’t the only team interested in Drummond, as the Nets, Raptors, Mavericks, Clippers and others have also expressed their interest in the star player. It’s easy to understand why there’s a lot of attention surrounding Drummond. Guys like him who can score close to the basket and rebound with ferocity don’t grow on trees.

On Thursday, teams will make their pitches and send their best offers to Cleveland to try and get Drummond in their uniforms. Will the Knicks come out on top? We’ll find out soon enough.
