NBA Trade Rumors: Bulls could be after Lonzo Ball

Could the Chicago Bulls end up making a splash before the NBA trade deadline and land former first-round pick Lonzo Ball?

With the NBA trade deadline coming on March 25, we could see several standout players leaving their current homes for a new team and city. Well, could the New Orleans Pelicans be ready to send Lonzo Ball packing to suit up for his third squad?

Per a report, the Chicago Bulls have interest in potentially making a blockbuster trade to get Ball to The Windy City. Ball suiting up with Zach Lavine sure would be something. Will something end up getting done here?

The Chicago Bulls reportedly have interest in trading for Lonzo Ball

After being selected No. 2 overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2017 NBA Draft, Ball spent two years at the Staples Center before being traded to New Orleans as part of the huge deal which sent Anthony Davis to LA to play with LeBron James. As we all know, Davis and James went on to win the NBA Finals last season.

In his first campaign with the Pelicans, Ball  posted 11.8 points and seven assists per game. Thus far this season, he’s recording 13.7 points and 4.7 assists per outing. For New Orleans, the year hasn’t quite gone as planned, with the team 11-15 through the first 26 games of the season. They’re on the outside looking in for the postseason hunt.

The Bulls haven’t fared much better, as they’re also 11-15 on the year. In an attempt to mix things up, they could end up making a splash by bringing in Ball. With Lavine playing outstanding ball this season, he and Ball could go on to help Chicago get into the postseason later this year. Stay tuned to see if anything ends up being finalized.
