LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James finally responds to the James Harden trade (Video)

The NBA world was rocked on Wednesday after the Houston Rockets traded James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets. LeBron James has finally responded.

While NBA fans all over the country were taken aback and celebrated the James Harden trade to the Brooklyn Nets, LeBron James had other things on his mind. The future Hall-of-Famer was too busy trying to get ready for the Lakers’ showdown with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

James and LA went on to win 128-99, improving to 10-3 on the year. When James was asked about his reaction to the Harden news, he played things incredibly cool. You think he’s going to worry about Brooklyn? No chance.

LeBron James is focused on helping the Lakers win games and not the James Harden trade

“Trades happened today and I couldn’t allow myself to indulge in that knowing that we had a game that we had to play tonight,” James said with confidence.

Did you really expect James to have another reaction? He can’t control what the Rockets and Nets decide to do. All he can do is go out each game, play like one of the best guys in the world and continue to help the Lakers perform at an elite level. We all saw that last season with the Lakers bringing home another NBA Finals title.

As for Harden, he now joins Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn, with the team hoping to get to the NBA Finals this season themselves. Harden’s time in Houston was a total nightmare, which included his now-former teammates John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins calling him out.

The Lakers and Nets are set to face off on Feb. 18. Once the two teams square off, James will start to worry about Harden and Brooklyn. Until then, he’s got other things on his mind.
