FOX hilariously trolls Nate Robinson with Cam Newton workout clip (Video)

The FOX NFL broadcast took a jab at Nate Robinson following boxing KO loss

The sports world (both boxing and otherwise) have been pretty vicious on Nate Robinson following the former NBA star’s knockout loss to Jake Paul on the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. card. The FOX NFL social media crew has now decided to also get in on the fun thanks to a clip from New England Patriots QB Cam Newton.

FOX NFL account trolls Nate Robinson KO loss with Cam Newton workout clip

The clip appears to be just an ordinary workout clip for Newton, as he warms up with his team before their battle with the Arizona Cardinals today.

The FOX NFL account, however, said that Newton was actually taking part in something called the “Nate Robinson Challenge.”

The hashtag has been posted on Twitter with several images that depict Robinson, knocked face-down and unconscious, in various settings outside of the boxing ring.

After running at his opponent during the opening round, Robinson was knocked down once late in the first round of the scheduled six-round bout. Robinson was slow to get up, and the referee’s count was arguably slow, but the fight went to a second round — where Robinson was dropped twice more for a KO loss.

The bout was the professional debut for the three-time NBA Slam Dunk champion, while the younger Paul brother improved to 2-0 in the boxing ring.

Robinson now probably regrets his 2010 tweet where he said he could be as good as Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao.
