Celtics trade rumors: Are Kemba Walker and Gordon Hayward both on the move?

Reports this week continue to state both Boston Celtics stars Kemba Walker and Gordon Hayward could end up being traded before the new season begins next month.

Now that the NBA Draft has come and gone, hoops fans everywhere will now be shifting their focus to any trades in the coming days to really shake up the league.

Two players to keep an eye on moving forward happen to be from the same team, with reports continuing to swirl that both Kemba Walker and Gordon Hayward could end up being traded by the Boston Celtics. Will the two former All-Stars be packing their bags to head to a new city?

Celtics trade rumors are swirling and the Atlanta Hawks have emerged as suitors for Gordon Hayward

While everything remains up in the air, it should be noted that NBA insider Chris Haynes has reported that the Hawks have serious interest in trading for Hayward. At the same time, Walker is also a wanted man, with the Bulls ready to try and land him.

With the reports and rumors continuing to heat up over the past few days, Celtics supporters were on the edge of their seats during NBA Draft night on Wednesday to see if general manager Danny Ainge was going to make some blockbuster moves. However, the draft passed by and both Hayward and Walker remain with the Celtics, for now.

With Hayward, he and the Celtics extended the deadline for him to agree to his player option from Nov. 17 to Thursday at 5 p.m. The idea here, per reports, was for Boston to try and figure out what’s best for the long haul with the sharpshooter. Sooner than later, we’ll know where things stand for not only Hayward but Walker as well. Could the two be rocking new jerseys later this year? The feeling is things are heading in that direction.
