Donald Trump asking biggest names in sports management for help restarting US economy

United States President, Donald Trump, is asking some of the biggest names in sports, including Roger Goodell, Jerry Jones and Dana White for their help restarting in the US economy.

If that’s not a sentence you thought you’d ever seen before, you aren’t alone.

According to FOX’s Andy Slater, a large group of the biggest names in sports management will be joining with Presiden Donald Trump to help jumpstart the United States economy which has been suffering ever since most of the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Those in the inner circle will be Adam Silver, Rob Manfred, Roger Goodell, Gary Bettman, Robert Kraft, Jerry Jones, Dana White, Vince McMahon and Mark Cuban.

Here is a breakdown of each man and their connection to sports:

  • Adam Silver, Commissioner of the NBA
  • Rob Manfred, Commissioner of the MLB
  • Roger Goodell, Commissioner of the NFL
  • Gary Bettman, Commissioner of the NHL
  • Robert Kraft, Chief Executive Officer of the New England Patriots
  • Jerry Jones, Owner of the Dallas Cowboys
  • Dana White, President of the UFC
  • Vince McMahon, CEO of WWE
  • Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks

“We need to get our sports back,” Trump said on Tuesday.

The news comes just days after the Florida governor’s office declared WWE to be an essential business and just minutes after news broke that the UFC would be going ahead with a plan to host a fight card, despite being strong-armed into canceling it’s UFC 249 event which was to be held on tribal lands in California.

This also comes the same day that the MLB announced it would be participating in a “massive coronavirus antibody study, with up to 10,000 tests taken nationwide over the next two days.”
