Who is going to score points for the Hornets?

Josh Lloyd joins the latest episode of Fastbreak Breakfast to talk about forecasting player rotations and fantasy basketball.

If you add up the 2018-19 points per game of ESPN’s projected starters for the Charlotte Hornets it equals 46 points. Feel free to check my math:

Terry Rozier 9.0

Nic Batum 9.3

Miles Bridges 7.5

Marvin Williams 10.1

Cody Zeller 10.1

An NBA team, even if they are very bad, is going to score much more than that. So where do the points come from? Who is going to be thrust into the Most Improved Player discussion sheerly on increased volume?

To answer that and to discuss other teams with big scoring and lineup questions, Josh Lloyd (@redrock_bball) joins the latest episode of Fastbreak Breakfast. Josh is the lead fantasy analyst for Basketball Monster and the host of Locked on Fantasy Basketball. In addition to predictions about the Hornets, the following topics are discussed:

  • Similar to Charlotte, the Grizzlies have a lot of questions on the offensive end. Will Ja Morant be given an enormous burden to shoot?
  • Fresh off playing large roles in the FIBA World Cup, will Bogdan Bogdanovic, Cedi Osman and Tomas Satoransky be able to thrive on their respective teams this season?
  • Which teams are the hardest to project their playing rotations?
  • How much should ‘load management’ be considered during fantasy drafts?
  • Since everyone can agree that ‘Turnovers’ is an idiotic fantasy basketball category, what should replace it for 9-category leagues?
  • Who even plays for the Wizards?

Fastbreak Breakfast is a podcast for serious NBA fans that is incredibly not serious. All episodes are available on Apple Podcasts and Soundcloud or any other major podcast service.
